I recently traveled to Santa Rosa to do some doctor portraits for Santa Rosa St Joseph Memorial’s new ad campaign. I was so thrilled that we had a little time after the two day shoot to tool around the nearby town of Healdsburg. After the shoot we went back by our beautiful hotel-The Vintner’s Inn-to pick up a phone charger the Account Executive left behind. Thank goodness this happened because then we just kept heading north to explore and within 20 minutes we were in downtown Healdsburg. Our first stop was the SHED’s fermentation bar to enjoy a unique rule breaking blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling. Walking around the central square we passed local wineries’ artistic wine and beer tasting rooms, unique boutiques, galleries and three starred Michelin eateries. The people were extremely friendly and there was a cool San Francisco vibe without the crowds. I wish we had more time to hang out but we had yet to catch the flight we would eventually miss as we sat chatting about work over delicious sushi at the Skylounge Steakhouse and Raw Bar inside the tiny Charles M Schultz Sonoma County Airport.
