I recently processed some old film that I found in Jim’s Holga camera that has been lying around our house for 8 years. I finished off the roll then sent it to Richard Photo Lab in Hollywood. Although I am sure it is not the technical quality they are used to seeing, the images are priceless and true gems. These few images are from a day that Jim and I went sailing on Dulcinea when we first started going out back in 1997! I don’t even remember taking his Holga camera with us that day.
It is amazing the latent image lasted this long and turned out so well. I especially love the double exposure and the light leaks. I expected them to be worse because the film wound so loosely on the spool. I kept the roll in a Kleenex box for weeks before I was ready to send it out with other film.
These images will be cherished in our household for a very long time.
